Information Systems Hot Topic:
ASP???
Is the "Holy Grail" in ASP for medical
professionals in the product, or in the process.
In my last editorial I
discussed my perspective on ASP and its place in the
practice of medicine. I discussed my thoughts that
most ASP models were flawed and didn't hold an advantage
in helping my practice of medicine. I presented the
scenario where ASP presented too many weak links in the
chain, putting more variables into my practice
logistics.
Since that editorial, I was presented by
many rebuttals, most of which came from IT professionals
that presented their industry bias. However, I was
presented with a very interesting rebuttal regarding a
product that might be the Holy Grail of the ASP
industry. It is more of a product that addresses
the process, and not so much the product.
Therefore, it can work with any application. Click
