End-User Psychology
If you are going to implement an electronic
medical record documentation system you need to know the
psychology of teaching technology and how it is adopted by an
end-user. This is imperative because your system may come with
training at installation, but what about two years down the road
when you have a new end-user and no live training? What
psychological issues effect the learning curve? If you
want to know this you need to read a book by Geoffrey Moore call
" Crossing the Chasm". Mr. Moore is considered by many
to be the Guru on high tech marketing and sales. His
book discusses how traditional business sales and marketing
paradigms experience a dramatic shift when selling high
tech. This book is an interesting and easy read.

are probably an "early adopter". The majority of
your peers are not from this group, therefore asking them to
utilize technology isn't the same as asking an "early
adopter"....... and it never will be. Read his
book to find out why.
